"WORTH LIVING FOR" ALBUM
Dianthus is a heavy rock/metal duet based in Riverside, California formed by twin sisters, Jessica and Jackie Parry. The sound is comprised of melodic vocal harmonies, increasingly ominous guitar tones, thunderous bass, and full-throttle attack on drums. Dianthus evokes a sense of elegance and mystery to their live performances, as well as an acceleration of high-energy on stage. Dianthus has participated in the House of Blues’ Music Forward Foundation's “Bringin’ Down the House 2016” Showcase at the legendary Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Their debut full-length record 'Worth Living For’ was released on all music platforms in July of 2018, produced by Jeremy 'JINXX’ Ferguson of Black Veil Brides & Chad Shlosser at Drac Studios (home recording space of Matt Sorum of Guns 'N Roses, The Cult, Velvet Revolver, & Hollywood Vampires). Dianthus has also released four music videos featuring songs from the record, “Within Hazel Eyes”, “Every Ounce”, “Black Snow”, & “The Unveiling” (featuring JINXX on the violin/cello). In October of 2018, the duet toured all over the Washington & Oregon regions. On January 26th of this year, Dianthus was honored to perform on The Hilton Stage at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.
On April 9th, 2019, Jessica and Jackie were recognized by the city of Riverside for their music at the Riverside City Council meeting. Mayor Bailey and Councilman Perry presented them with the "Riverside Pride Success Report Award."
